Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, removing approximately 2,000 American roles as part of a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
More overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, as the firm planning to disclose complete information during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Previous updates suggested the company aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization had about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
